Our Story
At Vadel Funeral Home, caring for families is not simply our profession—it is our family’s legacy.
For more than four generations, our family has dedicated itself to helping families honor the lives of their loved ones with dignity, compassion, and unwavering respect.
What began many years ago in Zaragoza, Coahuila, with my great-grandfather, Juan L. Garcia, has grown into a family tradition that continues to serve communities on both sides of the United States–Mexico border.
That legacy continued when my grandfather, Rito J. Valdez, and my grandmother established Funerales Socorro in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Their commitment to compassionate service became the foundation upon which future generations would build.
I was born and raised in a funeral home witnessing every day the compassion, professionalism, and quiet strength required to guide families through life’s most difficult moments. Those experiences shaped not only my career, but also the values that define who I am today.
After earning my degree in Mortuary Science in 2003, I devoted myself to continuing our family’s tradition of service. With more than two decades of experience caring for families, I realized a lifelong dream in 2023 by opening Vadel Funeral Home.
Vadel Funeral Home was founded with a simple purpose: to provide every family with personalized care, uncompromising professionalism, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is being entrusted to experienced and compassionate hands. It represent decades of trusted service and an enduring commitment to the families we have the privilege to serve.
Every family has a story worth remembering. At Vadel Funeral Home, we consider it our greatest privilege to help preserve those stories with dignity, compassion, and the highest standard of professional care.
